Faith at Covenant is not an add-on. It is woven into every day, every subject, and every relationship on this campus.

Our Conviction

Faith That Is Never Tested Is Faith That Is Never Truly Owned

Covenant was founded on the conviction that faith and learning are not separable. We do not add faith to an education. We build an education on the foundation that all truth is God's truth and every subject is an invitation to know Him more deeply.

But we also believe that a faith inherited and never tested is a faith that may not survive the pressures of adult life. We want students to wrestle, to question, to seek, and to arrive at a conviction that is genuinely theirs. Not because it was handed to them, but because they worked for it.

Spiritual formation at Covenant gives students the space, the community, and the challenges to do exactly that.

Formation Built Into the Week

Spiritual formation at Covenant is not programmatic. It is structural. It happens because we have built it into the rhythms of the school week and year.

Chapel

All-school chapel every week. Students worship together, hear from speakers, and are called to something larger than any individual class or grade.

Biblical Worldview

Every course at Covenant is taught through the lens of a Christian worldview. This is not a separate class. It is the frame for every class.

Spiritual Emphasis Days

Set-aside days during the school year when the regular schedule stops and students focus on faith, community, and the deeper questions of life.

A school-wide day when every student and faculty member serves the city of Indianapolis together. Service as an expression of faith, not a checkbox.

January Term options include mission trips and service experiences that move faith from the classroom into the world.

Cross-grade community groups where students are known, mentored, and challenged by peers and upperclassmen who walk alongside them.

One Day. The Whole School. The Whole City.

We believe that service is not an extracurricular. It is a response to the Gospel. And it belongs to all of us.

Gone Servin' is one of the most distinctive traditions at Covenant. Once a year, classes stop. Students, faculty, and staff spread across Indianapolis and serve alongside organizations, churches, and community partners. It is not optional. It is not extra credit. It is simply what we do.

Life's Universal Questions

Students at Covenant pursue a wise and healthy view of reality through what we call Life's Universal Questions. These are not just topics for a theology class. They are the questions that run through every discipline and every year of study here.

  • What is the meaning of beauty?

Honest Answers

"Is this just chapel once a week or is faith actually integrated?"

It is genuinely integrated. Every teacher is required to teach their subject through a Christian worldview. This is not a policy they follow reluctantly. It is the reason most of them chose to teach here.

"What if my student is not sure what they believe?"

That is actually the right place to start. Covenant is not looking for students who have it all figured out. We are looking for students who are willing to engage the hard questions honestly. The doubters often grow the most here.

"Will my student be pressured to believe certain things?"

No. We hold a Christ-centered worldview and we teach from it. But we also believe that genuine faith requires genuine inquiry. Students are pushed to think, not simply to comply.

"What denomination is Covenant affiliated with?"

Covenant is non-denominational. Our community includes families from many different church backgrounds. What we share is a commitment to the authority of Scripture and the lordship of Jesus Christ.

Covenant holds a full statement of faith that governs our teaching and our community. It is rooted in the core convictions of orthodox Christian faith across denominational lines.

The authority and sufficiency of Scripture as God's written Word

The full humanity and full divinity of Jesus Christ
Salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone
The resurrection of Christ and the promise of resurrection for all who believe
The Church as the body of Christ across all denominations and traditions
