Excellence in American Education

Criteria
Thank you for your interest in Covenant Christian High School's international and boarding student program. Application materials are available below. At Covenant, we are committed to helping the student flourish in all areas of life. Because of this commitment, host family training, teacher and student education, as well as constant school support are part of our program. Covenant Christian accepts boarding students from these three categories:

Missionary Students
Covenant Christian is delighted to continue its commitment to the children of full-time domestic or international missions. Students who come from Christian missionary homes are welcomed to attend Covenant and be equipped with an excellent, Christ-centered education. They will also receive assistance acclimating to American culture and preparing for college.

Students
Sometimes students begin attending Covenant Christian and then need to move because a parent is offered a job out of the area. Often these students wish to stay at Covenant for the duration of their high school education. This program could also serve friends and families of current CCHS students.

International Students
Covenant recognizes that a growing number of international students wish to attend American high schools to practice their English and prepare for college in the United States. Covenant Christian High School is an influencing school, meaning a student does not have to profess to be a Christian to attend, but also cannot be antagonistic toward the idea. Also, international student applicants must be competent in English, preferably scoring 550 or above on the TOEFL test, along with providing a writing sample. CCHS welcomes all international students as an important and beloved addition to our school culture and student body.

Timeline
Applications are now available for prospective boarding students. CCHS will be seeking students in the above three categories and will fill those openings throughout the spring of 2009 as qualified applicants complete successful application files and interviews. Ryan Threlkeld, Director of Admissions, and Linda Cook, Director of Recruiting, are available to answer questions you may have throughout the admission process.
