T3 International Conference, Dallas, TX, Saturday, March 1, 2008, 8:15-9:45a.m. Session #227 TI-Nspire™ CAS Primer and Calculus with TI-Nspire™ Technology and SMART Board™ Technology 90-Minute Hands-On - Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced - TI-Nspire™ CAS From new users to those who want to learn about some of the more advanced features of TI-Nspire™ CAS technology, this sessions offers hands-on activities featuring the use of this integrated multiple representation math and science learning technology. Receive a handout of “TI-Nspire™ CAS Primer (especially for TI-83/84 users)” written by the presenter. Calculus .tns files of activities and explorations will be available and demonstrated using a SMART Board™ interactive whiteboard.

T3 International Conference, Chicago - Saturday, March 10, 2007, 11:15a.m.-12:45p.m. Session #287 ANTS, Slalom, ACT SAT - New/Improved Programs for Teaching Advanced Algebra Topics with a TI-84 plus
ANTS = "Advancing kNowledge of Transformations" or "Asymptotes Need Training
Situations." This is an Algebra 2 or a review and extension topic for Calculus
students. It can be done with any calculator in the TI-83 Plus/TI-84 Plus
family. Slalom, like ANTS, is an educational game. Students slalom a course
using higher-degree polynomials. Considering the zeros, or roots, is especially
reinforced. Other programs and APPS will also be shared and described.
