Girls' Soccer Coaches

Head Coach

Max Hudspeth is entering his seventh year in the Covenant soccer program. Hudspeth formerly served as an assistant coach, head coach and co-head coach for the boys’ soccer team. The boys won their first sectional title and first two city championships during his five year tenure. Max is married to his wife Kathryn and they have two children. Their son Matt is a 2006 graduate of CCHS and a 4 year starter for the boys’ soccer team. He is currently a junior at Purdue University majoring in mechanical engineering. Their daughter Emily graduated from CCHS in 2007 and was a four year starter for the girls’ soccer team. She is currently a sophomore at Purdue University and is a member of the Purdue Women's soccer team.

Max has coached various sports and age groups since 1979. He has coached soccer exclusively since 1992. Coach Hudspeth holds several coaching diplomas and licenses including the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Premier Diploma, the United States Soccer Federation Youth National License, the USSF Grade 8 Referee License, and the Dutch National Youth Soccer Certification. Hudspeth currently is a Technical Coach for Indy Burn and Board member for Pike Soccer Club. He was also formerly a member of the Indiana ODP staff and Director of Coaching for Indy Burn.

Assistant Coaches

Jim Kulhanek is entering his fifth season working in the Warrior Soccer Program. The first three seasons Coach Kulhanek was in the program, has led the Covenant boys' junior varsity program compiling a 32-7-4 record. Coach Kulhanek and his wife Pam have three children. Son Jordan is a 2009 CCHS graduate and was a four-year member of the soccer program and is now attending Anderson University. Daughter Alyssa is a sophomore member of the Covenant girls' soccer team. Son Parker is a fifth grader at Kingsway Christian School.

Amy Moon is in her second season working in the Warrior Soccer Program. She recently completed an Indiana Youth Soccer Coaching Course and obtained her E license. She was an assistant soccer coach at Heritage Christian during the 2003-2004 school year. Amy played soccer at Michigan State University from 1997-2000. In high school, she played for the Michigan ODP team, Livonia United, and Brighton High School. In 1996, she also played for the Midwest Region II ODP team. She taught 8th grade Spanish and Foreign Language Exploratory at Center Grove Middle School North for 2.5 years before having her daughter, Morgan. Morgan is now 3.5 years old. She has been married to Matthew for 9 years, who is a packaging engineer at Eli Lilly. Matthew and Amy are expecting their second child in the Fall of 2009.

Christina Hunter is a well known face in the CCHS athletic department. Tina is a 2001 Covenant alumnus, and has been the head track & field coach during the 2006 and 2009 seasons, in between a move to Lansing, Michigan for additional schooling for her and her husband, Nick. 2009 marks her first year back in the Lady Warriors’ soccer program after a three year hiatus. Tina attended Asbury College, where she played soccer and ran track. The Hunters are expecting their first child in the spring of 2010.
