Canal Selected at NCSAA Soccer Player of the Year, Several Other Athletes Honored As Well

The National Christian School Athletic Association (NCSAA) has recently released it's All-American and Super-Region team selections for the 2009-10 school year.  Senior-to-be Todd Canal was selected as the NCSAA's 2009 Soccer Player of the Year.  Covenant also had several other athletes selected to either All-American or Super-Region Teams.  Listed below are the sports in which CCHS had an athlete(s) selected to an NCSAA Honor Team.

Boys' Soccer:
     Todd Canal: Soccer Player of the Year, 1st Team All-American, Northeast Super Region Team.
     Alex Warren: 2nd Team All-American, Northeast Super Region Team.
     Wes Johnson: 2nd Team All-American, Northeast Super Region Team.

Girls' Soccer:
     Betsy Hetrick: 2nd Team All-American, Northeast Super Region Team.
     Mickenzie Roberts-Lahti: 2nd Team All-American, Northeast Super Region Team.
     Alyssa Kulhanek: Northeast Super Region Team.

Girls' Volleyball:
     Kim Smith: 1st Team All-American, Northeast Super Region Team.
     Brooke Stamper: Northeast Super Region Team.

Boys' Basketball:
     Jeffrey McClintic: Northeast Super Region Team.

Girls' Basketball:
     Alexis Moore: Northeast Super Region Team.

Softball:
     Alicia Eavey: 1st Team All-American, Northeast Super Region Team.
